Since I installed Office 2016 Word and Excel open documents from email attachments in protected mode only. What can I do to stop this silly behavior?

One of the three options is "Enable Protected View for Outlook Attachments". If you leave the other two checked you will still be protected from malicious files originating from the internet or "unsafe locations", which apparently means your Temporary Internet Files folder.

i.e. "Enable protected view of Outlook Attachments" but still attached documents were and are still opened in protected mode. Anybody has resolved this issue? Should I really uncheck all three options?
