If "base imponible" is "taxable income", then what would "resultado fiscal" be? I've seen "taxable income" suggested for this too. Are they the same thing? If so, is it possible to use another term as they appear one after the other in the context below?

"Compensación de bases imponibles negativas de ejercicios anteriores

Base imponible (resultado fiscal)."

Thanks David. I came to the conclusion that both terms basically mean the same thing.

Asker: Hi there, wouldn't this be "resultado financiero", which came up in a previous question? I thought that "fiscal" usually referred to "tax".

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks David. So when both "base imponible" and "resultado fiscal" appear side by side, is it best just to translate it once or should I use a differente term for "base imponible" as Paul suggests above?
