Bio
¡Hola! Thank you for visiting my profile page.

If you are looking for a fast, experienced, proved, detail-oriented, and passionate translator and interpreter with almost 20 years of international experience, you've come to the right place!

Translation and interpretation have been part of my work as a writer and journalist since 1996. I began my career as a journalist in Mexico City, working for Reforma, one of Mexico's most important newspapers. In recent years I have worked for a wide diverse of companies and publications, from Univision and The New York Times, to Salon, Texas Monthly, La Opinión, or Simon & Schuster.

My most ambitious and challenging translation project so far has been the Spanish translation of my own debut short story collection, "Barefoot Dogs," which I wrote originally in English (published by Scribner in March 2015) and which will be published in Mexico by Penguin Random House in October 2015. But it's not only large literary translations what gets me excited. I have also done copy translation for news organizations such as The Oklahoman, CNET, and The Denver Post. I am curious and passionate about all kinds of translation and interpretation projects, big and small.

Currently I balance my time working as a fiction writer (I'm working on a novel!) and as an interpreter and translator. I would love to work with you and help you with your translation and interpretation needs. Let's work together! Please feel free to email me with any question you may have. There's no project too small or too big for me to consider. If you want to learn more about my professional background, please visit my website, antonioruizcamacho.com. Muchas gracias for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon!
