I am an EN<>GA linguist, providing mainly translation and revision services. I hold a first-class honours MA in Translation Studies (Dublin City University) and have completed a five month work placement with the Irish Unit of the European Commission's DGT. I have been working on a freelance basis since December 2018.

As the Irish-language translation market is currently still quite limited, I do not specialise in one particular area or field of specialisation, but I provide translation and revision/proofreading services to clients in multiple domains. I have supplied high-quality translated texts to public and private bodies, in areas as diverse as education, medical devices, agriculture, consumer goods, intellectual property law, travel & tourism, public administration, environmental protection, arts & culture, health & safety. I can confidently work on many text types, including marketing copy, instruction manuals, annual reports, legislative texts, job specifications, UI, help content, press releases, application forms and guidelines. 

I have built up a great deal of trust with some of my LSP clients and PMs, and at their request I am involved in screening new translators and providing feedback. I also make recommendations and suggestions regarding updates to style guides, glossaries etc and collaborate with my fellow translators when appropriate.
