Bio

I am a practicing attorney and freelance translator specializing in legal translation, such as contracts, litigation documents, and M&A documents. I apply my substantial experience as an attorney to craft accurate and natural-sounding translations of Japanese legal documents into English.

I received a bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Japanese from Grinnell College in 2007 and a juris doctor (J.D.) degree from UCLA School of Law in 2012. I subsequently practiced law at a large international law firm (Morrison & Foerster) for nearly a decade where I represented numerous Japanese corporations in intellectual property litigation disputes in United States federal court.
