Well done Ellie. Great idea about the sponsor (and they even paid for our dinner and drinks!! Wow!), very nice venue right in the city centre and, above all, really great company and enjoyable conversation. I\'ll let you all know when I\'ve uploaded my public gallery. For all of you who'll be driving to the Jurys, I'll mention here a few car parks in the area:

1. The Parnell Centre on Parnell Street

2. The Ilac Centre on Parnell Street

3. The Jervis Car Park on Jervis Street

4. The Jervis Shopping Centre on Jervis Street

5. The Arnotts Car Park on Princes Street North.

Hi,
I met a Spanish translator at the ITIA yesterday. She would like to attend too. Her name is Miren. Hope it's ok.

As for me, I may have to bring my baby with me for the first hour cause I don't want to miss the presentation. His dad will come and pick him up at six. The baby is very quiet though, will just be sleeping in the pram, he's three months old.

Just confirm their attendance before the day, so I'll know the exact number (or have a pretty good idea at least) of people attending.

Hello everyone,

For those of you who didn't receive my email, I'll post here the details of our Powwow.

As specified at the top of the page, we'll be meeting at the Jurys Inn on Parnell Street, at 5pm. Alchemy software will have a presentation of their software, followed by questions and answers. Then we'll move to the restaurant for a meal and we'll get to know each other and discuss ProZ.com.

The event is completely sponsored by Alchemy.

Hi Carrie,

As a note to you, BiaBar would be more than willing to give us the space and they have wireless in their restaurant as well. They also serve platters for a nifty 20 euros and the place is quite calm during that time. And i guess they also have meeting rooms available as the restaurant is located inside the hotel.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Of course we would have an area of the place reserved for us, that's a given...

The biggest area of the Coppinger Row is where we would be seated (they have only three or four tables apart from that), so I guess if the place were not quiet it'd just be because of us
:-D !!

... I know it's located in a busy area, but it is pretty central, quiet and discreet, accessible to everyone, plus prices are affordable, despite its position...

I will anyway check the Biabar, as you suggested.

Please note that I need to book by this coming Friday, so please please please confirm your un/availability as soon (unless we want that room at the Teachers Club!)

Hi Ellie, That sounds really great - I have had a look at the Coppinger Row website and it looks good. I do think we should reserve our own room, however, or at least get ourselves organised into a slightly separate section of the restaurant so that we can hear what everyone else is saying! I have attended a couple of similar "dos" and that has always worked well.

Room sounds kinda like bad choice as then the whole powwow would sound like a meeting altogether. Unfortunately the restaurant you are also suggesting is located on the busiest areas of Dublin and is mostly packed full of people eating at that time (5pm), so it is not an ideal choice as well... But dont mind me as i am just way too picky... -jon-
