I guess you may know that song by Metallica from the Black Album: "... where I lay my head is home". As I have said many times before, Athens feels like second home to me and you helped strengthen the feeling.

It was a real pleasure meeting you all. Soon, I will write a little "report" and send you the link. I'll try to make it interesting to read as well, besides just stating the obvious facts, such as "great company", "great food", "great atmosphere", etc. :)

Once again, I really wish I had met you earlier, but as Natali said - travelers have a way of meeting again. So, I'll add nothing more to that. Of course, don't be strangers and if you ever come to the south of Italy or wish to come visit Belgrade, I might be there to meet you!

Have a wonderful time and may your enthusiasm and work save Greece! :D

Hey all,

I already booked the table at 9:00 PM, but will give my confirmation to the owner on Monday, as soon as we know how many of us will be able to attend. So far, I see there are 7 of us who confirmed coming and it would be great if the rest would do the same in the course of Monday (even Tuesday before 2 PM). Regarding discounts, they proposed two options:

- every 5 beers, 1 is free (it costs 3.40 EUR); I guess the same applies for wine or any other drinks
- no discount for drinks, but free sweets in the end.

I would go with the second option, but we may decide on the spot.

Hi everyone! :)

Regarding dinner time, maybe we can get there at around 9 PM? Or even as early as 8... I will pass by the restaurant one of these days and ask for a group discount as well ;) I know they do it (e.g. cheaper drinks, some appetizers on the house, free sweets, etc.).

So, suggestions are welcome regarding the time!

I'd prefer Plaka, though, to be honest, much more central than Abelokipi, much easier to get to!

Hello everyone,

I have been in Athens for three months now and I thought I might try and get to know some of local translators/interpreters and exchange experiences, business cards, etc. I own a small translation company in Serbia aiming to cover the Balkan languages market and I am slowly trying to build a network of people to work with in different countries. I know a couple of great restaurants/tavernas, so I will give you my suggestion. One is the peaceful taverna To Kafeneio (I think this is what it's called) in the downtown area, just off of Plaka (one of the side streets close to an old church). It serves great food at very decent prices. Another one is in the area of Abelokipi (close to Panormou metro station). Also, great food, great prices.

Otherwise, feel free to suggest a place yourselves.
