Hello, spanish is my target language. But in Spain there are 4 (main) official languages: spanish, catalonian, galician and euskera.

just now (since the beginning of this year - 50%), but it changes with time. Depends on specific projects. As a general trend, I would say it will probably remain my primary source language.

I'm befuddled. There is only one language in Japan - Japanese. How could Japanese not be Japan's 'official' language?
A weird question for countries where only one language is spoken. Another hit-and-run Euro-centric poll by our old pal Anonymous again, I suppose.

I belong to the Hungarian ethnic group from Transylvania, Romania, my mother tongue and thereby my primary target language being Hungarian. However, Romanian was and has been present in every moment of my life (learning, administration, shopping, watching TV, friends etc.), I consider myself bilingual actually, so when it comes to translation the official language of my country of residence is promoted to my secondary target language.

That alone made it impossible to answer the questions, because this makes the official languages both the primary and secondary language.

I’m living in Portugal since September last year after a long stay in Belgium. Portugal has only one official language: Portuguese (lots of dialects, though) and I translate exclusively into my native language. Belgium has three official languages: Dutch (Flemish), French and German.

And what Spanish I do speak is spoken with a Canarian/English accent and peppered with local words e.g. guagua for autobus. However, there's an enormous amount of English spoken locally (by all nationalities - we have 92 different ones registered as residents in the north of Fuerteventura) and a fair amount of French too.

The enormous number of English people here in Ibiza, speaks only English, even if they have been living here for 20+ years.
For me, "Other" is the correct answer.

The question limits the answers to a single possibility in a universe of many possible answers.

The United States does not have an official language, despite numerous attempts by political parties and individuals to change that.
For an outsider, American English has got to be USA's official language, but many languages, dozens of them, are spoken across the country. In practice, however, whenever you go to an ATM machine or click on the website of an American organization, you could say that English and Spanish are the official languages of the land.

Japanese robots wouldn't deign to accept such menial tasks. Besides, you don't need AI to filter out hit-and-run polls submitted by our old pal Anonymous.
