I would probably feel the need to adjust my working hours if I suddenly had a husband working at home or children without school, but I’ve been living alone for a number of years. Anyway, my work hours are elastic and depend on my workload (some days I don’t work at all and in others I might average out 12 hours). In fact, because of the pandemic I could work longer hours (if I wanted to) as I’m going out much less and when I do I don't go far...

False (Speaking for myself) Oct 3, 2020

The only adjustments I needed to make as a result of the pandemic were:
wearing a mask every time I leave from home,
using compulsive sanitizing,
waiting for hours in queues,
adapting myself to social distance, not kiss or hug my closest relatives, and
bearing in mind that we are nothing less than human beings and there are things in life which we cannot control or adjust... even hours.

Not by much. I have taken on some volunteer projects that keep me busier during the day, so I'm working more in the evenings than I was before.

Maybe not out of necessity but, yes, I have adjusted my working hours since the start of the pandemic because my wife now works at home alongside me. Before the pandemic, she had a 1-hour commute at both ends of the day so she'd leave the house quite early. I would usually get up at the same time as her and start work once she'd left the house. Now, we both get up a lot later and I start my working day at least an hour later than before the pandemic.

Also, my lunch break is now longer. Cooking for one is not much fun so when I was working on my own, lunch was often just a sandwich or something quick – sometimes I'd even skip lunch. Now, the two of us have a proper cooked lunch every day, which is definitely a change for the better – it does mean, however, that my lunch break is at least an hour long.

On the other hand, leaving the house is still limited to a minimum so there are no more unnecessary errands during the day which makes up for some of the 'lost' working time. (Although, I don't really consider it 'lost' time. I still get the same amount of work done every day – maybe I just work more efficiently and waste less time.)
