In my daydreams the language of peace and diplomacy would stand firmly at the top of any such ranking.

Following the AI development hype mostly done by English-based tech companies, I see a huge difference in the presence of the English language over any other language.
Also, in gaming localization, most of the job offers involve English, as it's very rare to find any language pair without English.
While I know English omnipresence isn't a new problem in translation, it seems AI is just making it worse.
