In a time earth was still populated with ProZ.com staff members. Now rumour has it that they are extinct because of mysterious reasons. Who will be next?

I recall a brief exchange of e-mails wth Henry many years ago, in the wake of his announcements relating to Proz.com involvement in TAUS. And, more recently, with Lucia via WhatsApp, on the margins of the Women in Translation community.
There was a time when several staff members were frequent participants here in Forum discussions (and not merely to squash rule-breaking posts or to thank us for our supposed 'patience' while they tried to fix persistent bugs), but that seems no longer to ... It was many years ago, and the staff member was Justin.
I had run into a technical issue and jokingly promised him a box of chocolates if he could fix it. True to form, he solved it in no time. He was sharp, quick, and always so helpful. And true to my word, I sent the chocolates—I hope he enjoyed them!
We exchanged a few emails afterward, and I'll always remember his warmth, wit, and great sense of humor. Such a kind and remarkable person. Gone too soon, but not forg... See more It was many years ago, and the staff member was Justin.

I have been around for more than twenty years, so I have met and contacted staff in that time.
Way back when we still felt that everybody knew everybody else on Proz.com, I had the honour of being invited to a Moderators' meeting in Warsaw, where I met Henry and Jared, and also some of the volunteer Moderators who really laid the foundations of the site - Yolanda Broad and her husband (who made me look with new eyes at American English!), Natalie, Magda Dziadosz, who did such a gre... Steffen Walter, Özden Arikan, and others.
I met Lucia briefly in London.
I have exchanged mails with Enrique Cavalitto - we had quite a discussion, but I do not remember what it was about!
Gianfranco Manca warned me about one of the few serious non-paying clients I have clashed with.
Helen Shepelenko and others have answered support tickets.
A big thank you to them all!
There is still a lot going on behind the scenes, but I am not so active these days!
