No Dec 11, 2025

What do you mean? Shouldn't this be done by your site developpers? Anyway, out of curiosity, I took a look, ran a simulation, and, interestingly, the result says that all translators have been on Proz for less than a year, including me - a 'frequent flyer' since 2007. Another bug? For heaven’s sake!

no need for a banner! Dec 11, 2025

Space should be used for useful information, not for holiday or pet pictures. Makes no sense.

Public health warning required Dec 11, 2025

Given the current immaturity* of the 'next' profile page, still under development, the space occupied by the banner would be better used to carry a prominent warning from Proz.com informing visitors that the page displays a mangled and incorrect rendering of the users/members records in the Proz database, followed by a link to the same user/member's profile in the 'old/classic' page.

Carrot Dec 11, 2025

Unless someone comes with a detailed timeframe for the development and launch of this "new website" I can only see it as what it probably is: a carrot on a stick, hoping that Proz members will stay (and pay) a little longer.

This whole new website thing has become utterly ridiculous and the total lack of a true perspective for the future is no less than shameful and extremely unprofessional. I have no other words.

I do! Dec 11, 2025

It looks really nice, but I am curious about what kind of information is proper to include in a banner profile picture in order to not repeat the same information in the profile. Do you have any recommendation, Proz members and staff?

Be aware - rubbish upload tool Dec 11, 2025

The image upload tool on the 'next' profile page is to all intents and purposes unusable.
It ignores the aspect ratio of the image and regardless of the image size it always over-spills the crop-box either at the top or the sides. And then what actually appears on the page seen by visitors is not framed the same as was shown in the uploader.
And when - as I did - you give up trying to set up a personalised warning banner (see my earlier post in this thread), there was no way to remo

And when - as I did - you give up trying to set up a personalised warning banner (see my earlier post in this thread), there was no way to remove the image that was overspilling the banner area, cutting off junks of the warning message, and I had to create a new blank image to replace it.
Total waste of my time and my patience!
