antiepileptic drugs
Good evening!
I am translating a spreadsheet full of comments from physicians about the efficacy of certain antiepileptic drugs
Each answer is different, and this is the only one of its kind.
Any help with "recul" would be appreciated.
On n'a que très peu de recul. Quelques mois seulement, c'est peu dans le domaine de l'épilepsie.
Is it "experience" here?
Thank you!

the time span is (was) too short (yet)
étant donné que "recul" signifie aussi "distance" i.e. - in this context : the lapse of time is (was) too short to gather representative or sufficient data on the efficacy results of the drugs in question,

track record
Liz, this is what I often use in such situations (the drug's track record is as yet rather limited) instead of "hindsight" or "experience".

The extent of research is still too limited
Hello,
Yes, the idea is that not enough time has gone by to see how effective this drug really is. The extent of research is too limited.
pirical research is too limited to make more definitive statements, I believe that the two dimensions that distinguish the four groups are (a) a focus on ...
