To aid in the hydraulic efficiency of your filtration system, SFSM series sand filters come with a Jandy Pro Series ***Sweep Elbow***.
The ***sweep elbow*** also includes a threaded port and plug so that a 1/2” hose bib can be connected for pressure testing.
Be sure there is sufficient distance between the center of the pump outlet port and the backwash valve inlet port to accommodate the ***sweep elbow(s)***.
Glue the ***sweep elbow(s)*** onto the cut pipe ends using an appropriate All Purpose NSF approved adhesive/glue.
