@ Nick I got your logic and I actually thought of doing that, but the picture they sent me, like I said, looked like a dipper/ladle, but it was a bit longer, and since I wasn't 100% sure whether it was actually the same thing, I just did what the client told me to do.
But I totally get your suggestion and I thank you for it.

Intuition - "depa" a kind of screwed up Portuguesism of "Dipper"
may I suggest that the client (to avoid equívoco) put "dipper" in brackets and italics

Depa I needed an answer quickly so I asked the client and I was sent a picture of something that looks like a ladle and told to keep the Portuguese term because it was a technical term used among the fishermen.
Therefore, I will be closing this question, but thank you for your replies.
