A prototype of an actuator-powered lower limb orthosis has been developed by an Italian organisation. This device is capable of raising disabled or elderly people from the sitting position. A command/control system quite similar to the human command/control system and the actual effectiveness of the orthosis are this device´s main advantages. Financial resources and partners for more R& D or industrial partners for manufacturing agreements are sought (up to 15 per cent of the total budget).
