Crew # 5 had lowered the **breast roll**, removed the old wire fabric, draped the new wire fabric and then handed the task over to Crew # 3 at 19.00. It is not unusual for tasks to be handed over partly completed between crews during planned shuts.

Members of Crew # 3 were then to follow the procedure as set out in Bottom Wire Change Procedure XXX to finalise the wire change.

• Replace the bottom movable ladder at machine floor
• Replace the ladder to the top duo former landing with the crane
• Jack up and replace the two frame blocks on the machine floor level with the 30 tonne jacks and do up the bolts
• Jack up and replace the two frame blocks on the middle landing with the 30 tonne jacks and to up the bolts
• Refit the fabric ashore alarm
• Refit the guide palm
• Refit all the splash trays to front side of former
• Refit all deckle cutter sprays
• Refit the lifting cable to the breast roll and pin
• Lift the **breast roll** using the air switch at side of head box to pull the breast roll support into position
• Swing the retaining pin into position and tighten to hold the lowering arm in position
• Do up the bearing housing clamp bolt to lock the breast roll into position.
• Repeat above 2 steps for the front side retaining pin and bearing housing clamp.
