alternate scan

English to German Law/Patents Patents Codierung im H.264 Standard
xxx contends that the JVT had alternatives to the scan paths in xxxs patents that could have been used in the H.264 Standard instead. xxx proposed its own 4x4 alternate scan and the MPEG-2 8x8 alternate scan for use with interlaced video in H.264.


geht es hier um einen "Ersatzscan" oder "Wechselscan"? Kennt jemand diesen Begriff? Vielen Dank!

Das heißt eigentlich "alternate scan pattern" und meint ein alternatives Pattern im Gegensatz zu dem "normalen".

Dabei ist die Alternative oft ebenfalls im Standard genau definiert, dann ist es nicht irgendeine Alternative und man darf das Wort nicht übersetzen, falls es nicht eine offizielle Übersetzung des Standards gibt:
