Just done a Chinese-English translation of a research thesis on Article 71 of Taiwan Civil Code and related topics on imperative vs prohibitive provisions in law.

The Article 71 of the Taiwan Civil Code stipulates: "A judicial act that violates any imperative or prohibitive provision shall be invalid, except where the provision does not regard the act as invalid.
