A poem during Colorado's holiday blizzard in 2006:

The snow has been windy, the ground is all white.
Some cars have even slipped out of sight.
The city shut down,
But few did frown-
In the air there was delight!

For nearly two days, the people in-locked
Every one tried not to be shocked.
Denver is cold
But let's be bold
Open the door to those who've knocked!

And what do we find, but gladness and cheer
To help each other out of our fear.
We lent a hand
Joy to the land
This is what heaven does hear.

So at this time, let's keep the peace an'
The mystery and miracle of this season
Light and Goodwill
Friends to fill
