French term

hors plan produit

French to English Tech/Engineering Manufacturing Enterprise Resource planning and Material Requirements Plan (production line)
Hello

Can anyone help me with "hors plan produit" in the following sentence:

Toutefois, certaines fonctionnalités sur le paramétrage des compétences notamment pourraient ne pas être disponibles en standard, il est attendu sur ces points des réponses très précises sur la couverture fonctionnelle (standard, développement spécifique possible, hors plan produit).

I don't think it can be "excluding" as the context says that this thing must be dealt with.

Thanks

Thanks a lot Mpoma!

Of course, silly me, I realise now (I was wrapped up in work), "product plan" is a very generic term, you could use it to mean many things in business, not just marketing.

which is not included in the product plan

A "product plan" appears to be: "A product plan, also known as a product roadmap, is a broad overview of the upcoming product, its timelines, budget, resources, tasks, and much more".

... so I think they are just saying 1) what do you get as standard 2) what about in response to a specific request, which does not form part of this "product plan".

In other words, by this reading, the expression is in fact part of the the preceding expression.

As opposed to standard.

I can't find any good refs, but I suppose "plan product" would translate literally as "product plans", anything else being non-standard.

Also, perhaps not produced "en série", in production batches, more artisinal.

It's hard to get the right word without knowing what the exact product involved is.

neutral Mpoma : Hmmm... I tend to think a "plan produit"/"product plan" is a real thing though...

I can find plenty of internet search matches for "plan produit", but they all refer to marketing, not to production. So for the moment I'll leave this hunch up, although I have no evidence. My confidence level should have been lower.

product off-budget

Context assumed to be France and budget has already been mentioned : not excluded by a production line vs. a marketing scenario.
Example sentence:

IATE: fr dépenses hors plan COM en extra-budgetary expenditure COM
