I am a Portuguese native speaker, bilingual in Portuguese and English.
I have grown up between Portugal and the UK, where I have finally settled 8 years ago.
My language skills are very high as I have pursued part of my higher education in England, where I completed my MA in Applied Drama from the University of Exeter and my PhD from the University of Nottingham.
Currently, I am teaching on a part-time basis at Queen Mary, University of London.
Alongside Portuguese and English, I am also fluent in Spanish (not Spanglish or Portunhol!!!) and I am able to translate documents and texts from any of those languages, either as a source or as a target. During my academic career, I have specialized in literary, artistic, philosophical and also medical texts, due to the nature of the research I have conducted throughout the years.

Additionally, I am able to offer services as a writer for many different types of media. Not only I am used to write for a living (in academia), I also have experience in the field of editing as I have completed an internship in Verso Books, London.

Despite my high level of education, I do enjoy translating and writing about the most varied subjects, so I have a wide range of interests and I am able to provide a high standard service no matter the scale of the project.
