Bio

After graduating from English and Czech at the university in 1991, I started my career as a teacher, while at the same time I also started translating fiction. Up to now I have translated almost 50 books, ranging from teen and young-adult novels to science-fiction novels to historical novels, mainly by Australian, British and American authors.

In 2001, after 10 years of teaching experience, I decided to pursue a career of full-time freelance translator specializing in technical translations, marketing, trademark translations, law. Until 2008 I split my time almost evenly between agency translations and translations for end customers, however, since 2008 I've been involved mainly in agency translations. I am an experienced user of CAT tools.

I have always believed that my language skills are a gift to be shared with as many people as possible.
