Bio

I am a professional translator
specialized in Chinese, Spanish, German and Japanese, with more than 15 years
of experience.

I am thrilled to apply for a
position at your agency, as I believe that my international translation
services could be a valuable contribution to your team.

I was born in Spain from a family
of Chinese and Japanese origin, and received bachelor’s degrees in German and
Chinese philology and in electromechanical engineering.

Born in Spain to a Chinese mother
and Japanese father, and being immersed in Chinese and Japanese along with
Spanish since my childhood, I became linguaphile. During 8 years of university
training in engineering and philology, and more than 17 years of career in
various industrial sectors, I honed my skills translating and writing an
enormous amount of technical articles and documents, from advertising brochures
to patents of invention.

If the task is limited only to
translating Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and German into Chinese and Spanish
translations, I consider myself very competitive Spanish speaking translators.

My strength is to ensure maximum
clarity and accuracy in my translations, while offering maximum logic and ease
of understanding, especially with regard to science and technology,

In addition, my extensive knowledge of various industrial fields, my cultural
awareness and strong command of grammar, as well as the abundance of vocabulary
and terminology in the said four languages, are my other advantages in
delivering high quality and cost-effective results.

Although I am new to the world of freelance
translation, it is not a major challenge for me, but a continuation of my
regular work, because the translation has always been part of most of my adult
life.

In
fact, my transition from engineer to professional translator was a result of a light
spinal cord injury, which forced me to make a difficult choice. While I
initially accepted this change with resignation, I never gave up hope and
instead worked even harder to pursue my new career path.
