Source text - English You should be aware of the possible consequences of using physical discipline. Whenever you use physical discipline, it is almost always done in anger, which means you hit harder than you intend to. This increases the risk of your child being injured.
I was born and received primary and secondary education in Laos, undergraduate education in Vietnam, and internship in Thailand. I become fluent in all Thai, Lao and Vietnamese. In addition, I have been living in the U.S. where I receive both my mater and doctoral degrees and practice my translation, interpretation from English to these three mentioned above languages and vice versa. My high level of proficiency in these languages allows me to be an excellent translator and interpreter in Lao, Thai, Vietnamese and English. Currently, I have been known to many translation companies internationally and have been invited by many scholars to join their projects related to Laos such as the Lao First International Studies (for more information, please see http://www.seasite.niu.edu/lao/LaoStudies) and other research projects related to people and language of Laos as well. I also am a Lao curriculum developer for university of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where I am doing my Ph.D. program in.
My expertise includes education, economics, finance, cosmetics, health care services, tech/engineering, web-translation, insurance, public policy, governance and legal services.
My first publication is "Lao for Beginners", 2003. My next publication will be English-Lao dictionary with more than 250,000 words.
I also am a Thai speaking certified tester who was trained and certified by American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
I provided high quality interpretation and translation services to U.S. Trade Representative and U.S. State Department in their negotiations with Lao government officials on bilateral trade agreement (BTA) and bilateral investment treaty (BIT) during 1996 and 1997. I also was hired by Global Engagement, a U.S. faith-base Non-governmental organization, as the interpreter and translator to the delegation of high ranking Lao government officials who visited various U.S. government offices such as US Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Congress (Capital Hill) in Washington D.C. during June, 2002.
Furthermore, I provide translation and editing services to Lao-Thai Translation Company, California-based Company, Language Service Inc. and Language Associate Services and Translationlinks on a regular basis. One of my big projects is the translation from English to Laos for CompCare Blue-insurance services brochure as well as its insurance policy. Samples of this job are available upon requested.
Currently, I also provide interpretation service both in person and over the phone to courts and insurance agencies in different states on daily basis.
