Hello,

I am a translator and Proz member. Currently, I am also a part-time PhD student at Birkbeck, University of London, examining the effect of language learning experience on language learning beliefs. Hello,

I am a translator and Proz member. Currently, I am also a part-time PhD student at Birkbeck, University of London, examining the effect of language learning experience on language learning beliefs. To this end, I have designed an online survey – the Language Learning Beliefs Survey - which will enable you to find out more about your own language learning beliefs.

Here is the survey link: http://ronpeek.com/lime/index.php

Please feel free to take the survey. If you know of others who might be interested in taking the survey, then please pass on the survey link. I will also post an update on the findings of the survey in this thread in due time.

If you have any questions, then please let me know.

Kind regards and thank you for your help,

Ron

My research has progressed slowly (lots of data!), but I wanted to let you know that a first publication on some of the data has now appeared as a peer-reviewed article in the International Journal of Multilingualism: 'Exploring learner autonomy: language learning locus of control in multilinguals

Hi,

In 2011-2012, I held the Language Learning Beliefs Survey (LLBS) and mentioned I would report back on the results here.

My research has progressed slowly (lots of data!), but I wanted to let you know that a first publication on some of the data has now appeared as a peer-reviewed article in the International Journal of Multilingualism: 'Exploring learner autonomy: language learning locus of control in multilinguals': http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/14790718.2015.1090991

I have also uploaded a shorter (and earlier), pre-print version to my Academia profile, if you are unable to access the full version above: http://birkbeck.academia.edu/RonPeek

Thank you once again for your participation and happy reading! Feel free to share.

Best wishes,
