加拿大這邊的好像都是用索契，但近來也有聽見港人直接說蘇池, 不知道是否說英語時帶了點口音還是別的，但看來香港官方翻譯也是索契。

Sochi 音譯∶索契；索奇； 素溪 一种较为本土化（素溪），一种较为异域化（索契）。
中國官譯一向按本子辦事，是不可能有自由發揮的空間。因此，“异域化”的翻譯只是異想天開的附會。反而台灣人翻譯，有“本土意識”的說法是可接受的，台灣有濁水溪，再來一個“素溪”，讓人們產生同感，頗有創意。前面已經說過，香港譯名追隨中國，採用“索契”不足為奇。問題是“契”的粵音有5個，只有其中一個是接近“chi”的發音。至於譯成“蘇池”是十分諷刺，因蘇聯早已解體，而把黑海說成是池塘，實在小看了普京一點。

“苏池”蛮有诗意，让人想起苏杭的园林。:)

冬季奥运最吸引我的一个项目是单人／双人花样滑冰，也是我必看的一个项目。
昨晚和家人一起看女单决赛，英国广播公司 BBC 现况直播。比赛除了滑冰姿态美妙、音乐旋律动人悦耳，竞争性也紧张非常。连英国评论员都看到忘了客观、中肯报道的原则。他们只顾支持美丽可爱兼技术高超的南韩选手上届奥运冠军 Juna Kim 金妍兒 （连中文名字都可爱过人，喜欢韩剧的人可能会更喜欢），不断替她打气。
当评判最后宣布由俄国选手胜出拿冠军，他们全部失望到极点。

那个地方有些有后台的某些人民会有方法看到的。
金妍兒退役后，大可考虑参加韩剧演出，好让我等韩剧粉丝有机会再一睹其丰采。说不定更有机会成为环球明星（起码有很多英国观众已经是她的粉丝了）。：）

平昌郡（韓語：평창군）位於大韓民國江原道。平昌曾兩度以些微票數落選冬季奧運主辦權。2010年冬奧以三票之差敗予加拿大溫哥華，2014年冬奧以4票敗予俄羅斯索契，2011年7月6日三度申辦冬奧的平昌，終順利勝出獲選為2018年冬奧的主辦城市。

Well, it included authors and poets of works that are still taught in schools around the world and impact lives even today. Poetry, fiction and nonfiction authors were represented. Anna Akhmatova, Joseph Brodsky, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Checkhov, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Alexander Pushkin, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Leo Tolstoy, Marina Tsvetaeva, and Ivan Turgenev where part of this segment.

說起大文豪，有人將唐朝詩人李白與英國大文豪莎士比亞 William Shakespeare 劃上（差不多）等號。你們認為如何？
如果李白不是理想人選，中國歷史上哪一位文豪和莎士比亞的成就 “比較” 接近，讓人聽了，比較了解莎士比亞的文壇地位？
這是一個旅遊翻譯問題，與冬季奧運無關。但是看到俄國文豪圖片，突然想起這個問題。

李白是伟大的诗人，莎士比亚除了是诗人外，主要是伟大的戏剧家，文学形式不同。另外，所处的时代、表现的题材等也差别很大，似乎不适合放在一起比较。

当然，在我们中国人的心目总，诗仙李白的地位一般要在诗圣杜甫之上的。另外，我觉得就诗词而言，堪与李杜比肩的诗人还有屈原、苏轼、毛泽东。
