The speaker at both of these Bob Dobson, an engineer, technical editor and expert with many years of industry practice behind him. He will be giving translators an insider’s look at industry today.

In fact, translators do not know much about technical issues they are translating since translators face with new topics every day. I love this post since I can absorb new and specific technology I am planned to translate in the near future.
I expect more technical issues to educate myself as a freelance translator.

Thankyou Soonthon.
It is true that every job is different and we have to wear a lot of hats in order to work, but many translators tend to concentrate on certain areas of work in which they are more expert. Technical translation covers a huge field, and these webinars will help translators really understand what they are translating in the specific sectors we are covering. There will be more "Understanding..." events coming up in this series.
