Hello fellow translators.
I have been working as a freelance subtitler and QCer for about two years now and I am dreaming of creating a subtitling platform from all languages into English and Spanish (my two target languages). In my view, there is an untapped niche for fast-turnaround subtitles that are affordable but 100% error-free.
The problems that I find in the industry are:
Dubbers produce translation of unequal quality.
Professional translators are expensive and slow, and you don’t always get perfect subtitles.
Agencies are inefficient as having an extra pair of eyes (or two or three) doesn’t guarantee quality either.
