Spanish term

por objetivos y que sea fácilmente modificable

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) End-of-life care
"El empleo de escalas como la de Sedación Agitación (SAS), la Escala Visual Analógica para la evaluación del dolor en pacientes conscientes, la escala de Campbell en pacientes inconscientes, o la monitorización del índice biespectral (BIS), son de utilidad a la hora de pautar la analgesia y sedación **por objetivos y que sea fácilmente modificable** por el personal de enfermería."

My translation:
"Scales such as [...] are useful for guiding analgesia and sedation by means of objectives, which are easily modifiable by nursing staff."

I have presumed that "sea" should be "sean", but can anyone see an alternative interpretation of the final part of this sentence? (especially what "modificable" refers to) I am not sure I have got it right.

Thanks in advance.

I think they mean objectively (métodos objetivos ?) here, it's just badly written

What it means in plain language is that the doctor can tell the nurse to reduce or increase the dose or frequency of analgesics according to certain criteria.
