English term

periactoids

English to Persian (Farsi) Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama Theatre
Periaktos (plural form Periaktoi, from Greek revolving) is a device used for displaying and rapidly changing theatre scenes. It has been first mentioned in Vitruvius' book on architecture, De architectura (ca. 14 BC) but its most intense use began in Renaissance theatre, as a result of the work of important theatrical designers, such as Nicola Sabbatini (1574-1654). Other solid polygons can be used, such as cubes, but triangular prisms offer the best combination of simplicity, speed and number of scenes per device.

A periactoid is a movable, triangular set piece. Each periactoid was six feet long on two sides, with the remaining side three feet long, and eight feet tall. Each side had a different banner hung on it, to set the appropriate scene.

بوم چندضلعی پس زمینه

َPeriaktoi (plural Periaktos) is defined as "Three-sided flats that rotate on a central axis or pivot to depict three different scenes. Periaktos were often used in a series, usually in threes, by the ancient Greeks for on-stage scene changes. Also spelled Periactoid."
It shows that our equivalent has to include some characteristics like having 3 or more than 3 sides, its location and duty as a background descriptor, and its shape which is like a painting canvass.
Examining many Persian phrases which could convey these aforementioned characteristics, I chose "بوم چند ضلعی پس زمینه".
Hope it helps you.
