Swedish term

kommissionärsgrupp

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Bolaget ingick tidigare i en kommissionärsgrupp där bolaget var kommissionär till moderbolaget som var kommittent.

A kommissionär = a group that performs operations on behalf of another company. Would this best be expressed: as "agent" "commissioned company", "contracted company"?
- "The company was previously part of a group of "commissioned companies, where the company was the commissioned company and the parent company was the principal."

Is there a better accounting term out there?

Discussion

Christopher Schröder May 10, 2021:
I don’t think the answers are correct. No commission is paid between the companies. It’s a tax thing.

group of commission agents

a group of mercantile agency companies rather than of debt factors: 'whether a person or firm (factoring company), accepts as assignee book debts (accounts receivable) as security for short-term loans; this is known as factoring.' So 'factoring group' might be ambiguous.

possible rephrasing: The company used to be part of a /factoring / group of commission agents in which the company was the /factor / commission agent of the parent company that acted as > qua principal
Example sentence:

Leader in strategic communications and public affairs , Euros / Agency Group operates in France, Europe and Africa.

A factor is a type of trader who receives and sells goods on commission, called factorage. A factor is a mercantile fiduciary transacting business in his own name

Group of commission agents

I sort of agree with Adrian but I'd make it simpler. For example, “The company was previously part of a group of commission agents and was the commission agent of the parent company that was the principal.”

disagree SafeTex : You should have given an agree to Adrian and perhaps proposed an alternative sentence. THis is just pure plagarism
