Deixei atrás os erros do que fui,
Deixei atrás os erros do que quis
E que não pude haver porque a hora flui
E ninguém é exacto nem feliz.

Tudo isso como o lixo da viagem
Deixei nas circunstâncias do caminho,
No episódio que fui e na paragem,
No desvio que foi cada vizinho.

To the best of my knowledge, "atirar" (throw) is a transitive verb, so I'm wracking my brain to understand its use as intransitive in the last stanza. Or is still transitive with some sort of ellipsis to where the object was omitted? If so, what would the likely object be?
