He revisado los esquemas de 2 patentes en los cuales se describen los "lock dogs".
En ambos casos se trata de trabas para el "stinger" que no es otra cosa que una válvula sofisticada que va dentro de la tubería de perforación incluso hasta dentro del árbol de navidad. Las trabas fijan al stinger en la posición deseada.
Las trabas se pueden soltar mediante una camisa deslizante y acomodar nuevamente.
El "stinger" aumenta notoriamente la eficiencia del bombeo.
No he encontrado una traducción directa pero ten por seguro que esa es su función.
Veo que Tomasso también está orientado en ese sentido.
