Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!

on the periphery /ies / of official acceptability
The oficialidad I take to be accepted convention, such as the backlash against the stage play in London of The Romans in Britain exactly 40 years ago, triggering obscenity clean-up campaigner Mrs. Mary Whitehouse's doomed UK private prosecution for 'gross indecency'- rather than any breach of official regulation pertaining to the theatre post-Franco era.
Note that 'al margen de' also means borderline, rather than outside.
The periphery of acceptability is an energetic construct very important to examine on one's journey inward.

: This answer is Beyond the Fringe, or even it's latter-day spoof, 'Behind the fridge!! (lol)- but 'borderline acceptability' would have been a more acceptable answer , based on elements you posted, than your actual answer which smacks of a neologism to me.

independently of formality
Notably, the social factors of bonding, bridging and linking are operating independently of formality in the economy and settlements.

Here, "formality" is in contrast with movimiento de salas "alternativas".
