It's a token (i.e. a code) that is displayed on a 2FA app, which is used for authentication purposes.

A good translation that comes to my mind is "شناسهٔ تأیید". It's a code (usually a six-digit token) sent in the form of a text message as a 2FA token when you want to shop online or log into your e-banking platform.

"کد تأیید" is also common for referring to such tokens; it's probably the most common translation, but "شناسهٔ تأیید" is still more accurate, in my humble opinion:

Google Authenticator, a well-known AUTHENTICATION APPLICATION, works like this:

"To log into a site or service that uses two-factor authentication and supports Authenticator, the user provides a username and password to the site. The site then computes (but does not display) the required six-digit one-time password and asks the user to enter it. The user runs the Authenticator app, which independently computes and displays the same password, which the user types in, authenticating their identity"

In this context, the "verification token" is a piece of text, computed separately by the application and authenticator. If they match, the user is authenticated. It is usually numeric but can be alphanumeric.
