Soft Value
It is the value derived by applying a factor to the market values to account for the influence that some imbalance (not severe) in the supply/demand equation may have on the individual aircraft type concerned. This is when airlines face sluggish growth or even traffic drops, incur losses, downsize fleets and employees, or scale back fleet expansion plans. The market becomes uneven as supply exceeds demand, resulting in more parked aircraft and lower utilization rates, which increases aircraft availability.
A Soft Value is said to be in between Market Value and Distress Value.
