I dont know how to relate the above answer to a messaging software.
First meaning: a celebrity who's also a vendor can be someone who becomes popular doing one thing (highly probably) artistic and later on develops a product. E.g. a pop musician who later on manufactures musical instruments.
Second meaning: a co-branding agreement can be made between a manufacturer and a celebrity to use the celebrity name as a brand of the manufacturer. A sample from Indonesia (my country): in mid-1990s, Suzuki (a car manufacturer) made arrangement with Marissa Haque (a movie star) to use her initial as a submodel of one of its product line Suzuki Esteem. By then, Suzuki Esteem MH was marketed. This may not be a sample reflective of total co-branding, but I hope you then get an idea how it works.
