woodpecker pepper mill

English Art/Literary Furniture / Household Appliances
Hello! Sorry, I've asked in English>Italian but we are still doubtful. In Italian this is a "macinapepe", but the problem is "woodpecker"... From what I read in Internet it seems to be a brand (Example: http://www.voyagerlab.com/Catalogo/vmchk/HOME-LIVING/2149-Er...
... but if it is, why is it not "Woodpecker", with the capital? Or that's only the shape, "picchio", like the bird? If you read Italian, please look here for more details: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/english_to_italian/furniture_house...
Thank you all, and sorry for mistakes.

Non-PRO (1): B D Finch

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Perfect! Thank you very much! You confirmed my first impression, and I will signal to the publisher that there is a typo (w for W). The dates posted by Maria further confirm it, because my character gives this object as a present in 1961. This evening I will close the question and assign points. Thanks again and have a nice weekend. Cris

Woodpecker pepper mill

I think it should be a capital for the brand name. This reference includes a good picture of a Woodpecker pepper mill.
