In the following context: "The automatic conductivity setpoint adjustment functionality has adjusted the setpoint, to compensate for low scale stress conditions (compared to learned stress), to it's maximum setting."

What means the learned stress in the given context?

stress currently considered normal from previous operation

I imagine this to be some sort of control mechanism which has a stress setting not set to some arbitrary figure, but "learned" from previous satisfactory running of the equipment to be normal.
