Could you, please, check and edit this sentence, if necessary:
"The patient underwent an immediate surgery (myectomy), followed by mitral valve replacement, with favorable outcome."
This is expected to be in the US English. Thank you!

It should also read "the patient underwent immediate surgery (myectomy)".
