externalitation in schizophrenia
There have been a lot of debates on how this externalization could be explained. Some
Anglo-American authors such as Maher (1988) have relied on rational concepts, assuming
that the patients try to explain their irregular experiences in a way which suggests itself: a
thought that I did not generate myself must have come to me from outside.

Selected
in a way which offers itself/presents itself/springs to mind
in this case the suggestion comes from an outward stimulus:" a
thought that I did not generate myself must have come to me from outside."

Note from asker:

: agree with "springs to mind" but not with other suggestions. And what's with all the German on an En>En question?

Thanks, Gallagy! As for the German, the Asker wrote her questions in German and I answered in the same language.
