Spanish term

base de datos contable re-expresada

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting
Context: "Además en su tesis el objetivo no sólo era la selección si no también la reducción de dichas variables, en este caso el número de razones financieras a partir de una base de datos contable re-expresada, por lo que se concluyó que el método reductivo del factorial era el más adecuado."

My attempt: "re-expressed accounting database", but this phrase makes no sense to me. Maybe it makes sense to an accountant?

The document is a Mexican journal article about statistical tools for predicting bankruptcy.

re-expressed accounting database

Example sentence:

Re-expression does not change the data, but rather changes the way we look at it and think about it to make it more suitable for analysis.

Peer comment(s):

agree wtimberl : dislike hyphen, but technically entirely correct. as to the opacity of the term in either language, it is at least possible that the author was more concerned with [what often passes for] style in scholarly publications than transparency.
