I am a lawyer with 20 years experience. I specialize in translating German and Finnish legal documents into English. I am an expert at legal terminology and due to my extensive experience as an attorney, I have a thorough understanding of localization needs for working within the legal culture of the United States, including nomenclature and formatting that is specific to United States legal documents.

When I'm not translating:

I am an animal lover and volunteer at an animal shelter in Chicago, Illinois, USA.  I am passionate about all types of needlecrafts and spend my free time doing embroidery, crochet, knitting and sewing.  I am also able to translate German, Finnish and Norwegian needlecraft patterns and instructions into English.  If I'm not doing crafts then I'm outside snowboarding in winter, or gardening in summer.
