Experienced translator and interpreter with more than 20 years of experience.  My specialisation is family law and subtitling.   I provide certified translation of certificates and court statements. I am a member of Chartered Institute of Linguists.  My BA and MA are in English literature and language from Ochanomizu University in Tokyo. I also hold another MA in Creative Writing from the University of Sussex. I also have a teaching qualification, CELTA.

I started performing translation and interpretation work during university. After graduation, I worked for varieties of companies in Tokyo as an in-house translator and interpreter in business fields.  The companies I worked for in Tokyo include Olympus, Pfizer, JVC and Accenture.  In UK, I worked for University of Sussex, Kumon UK, Brighton College, Uniqlo    For me, translation/interpretation work is not only a systematic alteration of language but a creative and communicative act, involving emotional intelligence and imagination as well as linguistic skills. I am devoted to providing high-quality linguistic services in order to facilitate international understanding.
