Discussion

Carmen Schultz Nov 3, 2007:
oops the rest of the copy was cut off:...DJs & rapppers often say 'XXX is in the House" to get closer to their audience and make them feel "at home"

Carmen Schultz Nov 3, 2007:
cont'd from above: but in juxtaposition with the word house, there is a "hip-hop" layer added to it for an urban effect (e.g., DJs & rapppers often say 'XXX is in the House"
Carmen Schultz Nov 3, 2007:
"Rock" here can be interpreted very straightword in its obvious meaning of shaking, moving, etc.; but in juxtaposition with the word house, there is a "hip-hop" layer added to it for an urban effect (e.g., DJs & rapppers often say 'XXX is in the House"
Ashok Pipal Nov 3, 2007:
Yes, Deborah. We should have seen the description selected by Elizabetta in the very first line above - Cinema,Film,TV, Drama. Thanks, anyway!
Bubo Coroman (X) Nov 3, 2007:
an explanation for the people asking about "house": house = playhouse (teatro) - and by extension any place where a performance is held
Ashok Pipal Nov 3, 2007:
Elizabetta, as Pablo Grosschmid's response requires more elaboration on "house", please provide the same. A house could be a theatre, cinema hall, auditorium(for performance) or in Indian context, if not at other places, "the Parliament House".

'...pero los eventos van a hacer olas;' ...Van a causar sensación...';...'van a causar impacto;

Note from asker:
Hola Sandra, en Argentina decimos "vamos a tirar la casa por la ventana" y fue en esa expresión que pensé al principio, pero estaba buscando algo más neutral. Gracias por tu ayuda.
