Hi All,

I appreciate your help if you know about any free video transcription and timecoding software. There was a very good program called Transana, but it is no longer free. Alternatively, I also appreciate if any one has the old free Transana and upload it for me. Any other suggestions are also welcomed.

You can download older versions of it here:
http://www.transana.org/download/archive.htm

If you have a buddy who can compile programs, you can get the source code of the latest version here (hey, it's GPL):
http://www.transana.org/developers/sourcecode.htm

Transana is written in Python, and the owners even have brief instructions on their web site about how to compile it (if you're geeky).

Subtitle Workshop.
Free on the net.
Quite good.
Cueing very boring, though: Ctrl+c = Time In, Ctrl+v = Time Out. Not good. The rest is OK.

Hi All

I am looking for free Italian Trancription tool to convert the video file into text format.

Could anyone guide me which is the best tool along its website or Link to the tool with using instructions?
