Other Mar 30, 2015

I don’t have a favorite area of expertise. I translate mostly (60%) medicine (medical devices and clinical trials), but I like combining with other areas: economics, regional development, EU affairs, political journalism, education and vocational training, audiovisual technology… Diversity is the spice of life!

I don't have a favourite area of expertise, so I had to vote "other".

Frequently Mar 30, 2015

Because I enjoy most of my work. Although I don't really have a favourite area. The area I'm least keen on is advanced mathematics and"fuzzy logic"...

About two-thirds of the time Mar 31, 2015

Unfortunately, the other third consists mostly of:

- Manuals in the field of public health. They entail a lot of fancy formatting, visuals, boxes, etc., and the text tends to be simple-minded and repetitive.

- Public health field reports to donors with much discussion of targets, goals, and objectives. Often the language is poorly written.

I love to do research studies, journal articles, clinical trials, and reports on experiences with innovative approaches

I love to do research studies, journal articles, clinical trials, and reports on experiences with innovative approaches and technology, and fortunately they account for the other two-thirds of my work.

I always like to feel that my effort is "making a difference."

More than frecuently Mar 31, 2015

When it comes to translations, it doesn't matter the area, I like and accept "almost" everything. But , I've been lucky enough to do what I enjoy the most when I work as a simultaneous interpreter: to travel a lot and to be inside pipes, machines, wearing safety clothing, while doing operators training.
