I said 30-40, and that's probably an accurate average. Though I often do more, I do occasionally take a day off, which pulls the average down.

A more precise answer would be as long as it takes... Let's say that some weeks I can clock around 80+ hours and others no more than 10 hours! I've never done the maths...

It is not enough. I want to work more but I find demand to be patchy.

Once again, depending on the workload. There are also the office things that need to be done as well as the translations.

What do you consider to be "work"? Apr 3, 2015

If we're only talking about translating, I probably only spend about 20 hours per week. If we include marketing, dealing with customers, updating blogs, YouTube, social media, and everything else, not to mention planning, invoicing and all the awesome administrative stuff, that number would be a lot higher ^_^

Of course, I've only been freelancing for about four years now, and I still feel like I'm establishing myself. I suppose that workload will decrease as I progress.
