Sometimes, mostly if they work in my main pair, ES-EN. Or if they look a bit weird. The other day, there was one who was the doppelganger of my ex, who is also a translator...

I do sometimes. I don't consider it snooping around: it's their professional profile in a professional environment. It's like being introduced to random people at a business meeting, or greeting people at work .

But seriously, do you sit here all day and wait for the featured translators to appear to look at them?
I am fortunate not to have the time to have to do that.

Especially if they work in my languages.
I have to admit I like interesting logos - or graphical portraits. Some years back a colleague had a fine drawing that I was secretly in love with. He now uses a photo and is less active on this site. Pleasant-looking, but I would probably miss him in a crowd!
I tend to ignore straight photos. I have never got as far as changing my own, which is as boring as any. Go figure!

I remember the first time I got an email to say I was the featured one. I went to see, showed my husband etc.  But I haven't reacted to it since, whoever it is. It's just one of the things that happens on this type of site.
